About the event

Object-oriented programming.  You'll learning how to code using Python with OOP approaches in this hands-on session and create your own character to fight others in a virtual ring.  If you like you can even bring your own teddy or action figure (we know you all have one!) for inspiration.  The session will focus on core OOP principles, collaborative programming approaches, encapsulation, polymorphism and aggregation.

Algorithms.  You'll take a problem, decompose it and collaboratively develop a solution through a focus on Big O notation.  You'll learn a number of approaches that will help your students become independent at designing and implementing custom and standard algorithms such as sort and search algorithms.  You'll also  receive guidance on best approaches to support students with tracing designed algorithms.

Presenters: Peter Marshman & Tig Williams
