About the event

Bring your Year 4, 5 or 6 pupils to a fun, inspiring and active day of Astronaut Fitness activities with the micro:bit and CreateAI

These workshops, mapped to the Computing curriculum, show young people what machine learning is, how to implement it by creating and testing training data from the micro:bit's accelerometer, before using fundamental coding skills to program the micro:bits based on the training data. Using our own bespoke user interfaces students get to see live, onscreen interactions with their programs.

Pupils will:

  • Use the micro:bit in hands-on, practical activities

  • Learn core AI and machine learning concepts

  • Learn core computing concepts, including algorithms, sequencing, selection, inputs and outputs
