About the event
Primary - L5: Pupils learn how the pins on a micro:bit can be coded to develop a warning system that monitors water levels in a city and warns the community of flooding during storms. L6: Introducing the radio function in micro:bits, allowing data to be sent from one device to another and, in this scenario, act as a warning system in the event of an earthquake. L7: Pupils consolidate their learning from the series of lessons by developing an advanced earthquake monitoring system using the radio function and several micro:bits.
Secondary - L5: In this session, we'll focus on exploring accessibility and how the micro:bit code can be adapted to meet various needs. We'll discuss opportunities for pupils to plan their own early warning system alongside some example solutions.
